5 Things I'm Loving Right Now
Hey there. While I’ve been trying to hone in on a better blogging strategy, define a holistic brand identity, and communicate my overall business ideas to others, I’ve overwhelmed my mind with too much content and inspiration. That’s a thing, right?!
So I’m getting back to the basics - why am I here, creating, and what am I loving? So to start I’m just going to share a few of my favorite things. Here are 5 things I’m digging this week and think you will too!
West Elm steals my heart. They present a new, fresh take on mid-century and minimalistic design. So, when I need to find some new gold details for an upcoming shoot, I knew they wouldn’t disappoint. I was on the hunt for cocktail props that would fit an old motel restaurant that was recently renovated.
A shiny gold shaker and jigger for the win!
With summer quickly coming to an end, I had to make one more cocktail - She Who Dares, Gins - with bright citrus notes. Then, when the recipe called for lavender simple syrup (which I didn’t have the goods to make) I knew the bottle of bitters Strongwater gifted me would work perfectly instead. What's a better combination than fresh fruit and floral?

I come from a family of antique lovers and garage sale shoppers. Although, my mom’s style isn’t quite mine, I still love the hunt for a good find. And with the trend of mixing and matching your glassware, sneaking in a few vintage pieces with my modern collection is right up my alley.
I've found most of my vintage glassware here, in Denver, down Antique Row.
Starting a new habit can be hard. Especially when you try to replan your whole eating routine. Which... been there, tried that… didn’t work. So I’m taking it one step at a time. One meal at a time. And guess what?! Its working. I am all about the health craze of morning smoothies (with my best effort of avoiding the high sugar recipes). I even enjoy looking for new ingredients to add.
I just found some Hemp Seeds at Trader Joe’s and am going to add those to my Blueberry Yum creation this week.
My Fitbit Versa
While excessive technology can be unhealthy, I couldn’t resist updating my last fitbit. It lasted me a solid 3 years! Finally, with a couple of big cracks and the inability to sync it with my app, the watch pushed me over the edge. Although I don’t need every notification to pop up on my watch, I love that I can see if someone texted, called, or emailed me. I can’t reply straight from my fitbit, but I can see if its urgent and need to get back to my computer. That solo-entrepreneur life has its perks, but also has you attached to technology just a bit more.
